Wurkin Stiffs Magnetic Collar Stays was started in 2006. Jonathan Boos was getting dressed to take his wife out to dinner and have drinks with friends in Sarasota, FL. Upon getting dressed, Jonathan was struggling with his shirt’s collar. It would flare out and not stay in the position it was put in. This is when he got the idea for the magnetic collar stay. Jonathan carefully fashioned paper clips and small magnets into a couple of collar stays that solved the problem.
